Joffrey and the Trial of The Dream Weaver is a narratively-focused walking simulator game featuring beautifully crafted environments, a riveting story, a rich original soundtrack, and a fully voice-acted script by none other than the wonderful Zander Bezotte! You’ll have the chance to explore three thematically distinct regions while searching for clues, collecting information, and completing various magical rituals in hopes of completing their Final Trial and becoming a True Dream Weaver!
Don’t think success will come easily however, as you’ll be badgered and berated by your antagonistic rival Joffrey throughout the Trial as he does everything in his power to inflict failure upon you! Will you overcome the difficulties of this Trial and become the Dream Weaver you were always meant to be, or will you just become another victim of Joffrey’s mischievous machinations? Played through the whole game and even though I don't play these types of games I really enjoyed it. The environment, lighting, and skyboxes looked spectacular. The voice acting was amazing and made the game more engaging than just reading. The music was phenomenal, it fit the game and environments well and I also liked how the music transitioned between areas. The camera was super smooth and made the game feel great. And of course the story was unique and interesting and even though I probably got some scrolls out of order, it didn't hinder the story or ruin anything. Some other features like the UI for the book and scrolls, and the little jiggle when you interact with items were great too. Overall great game guys, the only thing I would suggest is making the gameplay a bit more interactive. Maybe a mechanic where you can cast spells to complete some of the objectives like making the potion, removing the spell around the statue or freeing the blue soul thing.
